Glasgow's SECC

SECC is Scotland's national venue for public events. It is also the UK's largest integrated exhibition and conference centre. It stages all of the major concerts, exhibitions and shows that come to Glasgow and is only a short distance from Claremont Terrace.

Glasgow University

The University of Glasgow was founded in 1451, in Glasgow, Scotland, and, along with its contemporary institutions, the University of St Andrews and the University of Aberdeen, it formed the Kingdom of Scotland's equivalent to Oxbridge. One of Scotland's ancient universities, the fourth oldest in the English-speaking world, the University of Glasgow is one of only seventeen British higher education institutions to be ranked amongst the top 100 universities of the world.

Glasgow's Favourite Park

Kelvingrove Park, overlooked by the University of Glasgow on one side and the Park District on the other, is one of the finest parks in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. Located in the West End of Glasgow, it straddles the River Kelvin and covers 34 ha (85 acres). It was created as the West End Park in 1852 by Sir Joseph Paxton and has been the site of three exhibitions: the 1888 International Exhibition, the 1901 International Exhibition and the 1911 Scottish Exhibition.

Comfortable yet Modern

Apart from being in an excellent location, visitors to Claremont Terrace will feel right at home with soft, comfortable beds and lounges, ultra modern bathrooms and kitchen.

Interior

Understated elegance interlaced with sparks of pop culture would be the best way to describe the interior design of Claremont Terrace. With art from renowned artists such as Bill Blackwood adorning the walls, Claremont Terrace is one-of-a-kind accomodation in Glasgow.

Neighborhood

Glasgow’s Park Area is a small but exclusive area of the city formed around Kelvingrove Park in the West End which is bounded by Sauchiehall Street, Woodlands Road and Kelvin Way. The architectural importance of the area and its stunning beauty is reflected in the fact that it was designated as one of the first three Conservation Areas in the city under the 1967 Civic Amenities Act.
